Here are some pics of the mobile station. The radio is an ICOM 7000. Amplifier (mounted under seat) is the SGC-500 Power Cube and the antenna is the "KILLER" Scorpian Antenna. The mount is grounded to 2 spots on the body and the radio/amp has a good ground.
Amplifier is wired with 4 guage wire. I upgraded a battery to the high end Sears battery. The amp draws up to 90 amps and the Toyota Highlander has a 150 AMP alternator. The coax running from the amp to the antenna is LMR400.
