My QTH is Centennial, Colorado, just a hop, skip and a short jump from the Rocky Mountains and due South of Denver, at an altitude of 5885 feet/1793.7 meters above sea level.
On the rooftop tower is a Hy-Gain LJ-204BA for 20 meters. The boom is 26 feet! Below the 20 meter Yagi is a Cushcraft Boomer with 6 Elements on a 34-foot boom for 6 meter operations.
For 40 and 80 meters, 2 - Phased ground mounted 63' vertical's from Zero-Five Antenna. The S.W. vertical has 5,000 feet (1524 meters) of ground radials. The N.E. vertical has 1500 feet of ground radials due to space limitations.
The main rig is the Yaesu FT-1000D. I upgraded the stock filters with the Inrad Roofing Filter and added the Inrad 2.8kHz filter for rag-chew. The back-up rig is a Kenwood TS-690S that is mainly used for 6 Meters. The Amplifier is an Alpha 87A and the backup amp is the Kenwood TL-922A.
The Microphone is a Heil PR-40. The Heil PR 40 represents a completely new dynamic microphone technology designed by Bob Heil, K9EID for a wide range of professional applications such as sophisticated recording, live sound, and commercial broadcast. It maintains the 25 year Heil Sound tradition of superbly natural voice articulation.
I also have an EQplus by W2IHY & The 8 Band EQ to enhance my audio and clean up the quality of the signal.
